Warriors:
Warriors, we all are! Yes, and as Warriors, we better travel with our Armor on, at all times. Today, "Dynamic Duo Inspired Journey," would like to discuss the one item, we, the Adventurous Dynamic Duo, never leaves home without; so as we get dressed daily, we suit up in God's Armor too! The enemy is real y'all, and this world is a battlefield. We are fighting spiritual warfare, minute by minute, hour by hour, and day by day. So, Warriors, don't think that, just, because you are going on a vacation, and you are planning to have a ball, the enemy isn't scheming to ruin your plans/life. Have you ever noticed right before you're getting ready to go somewhere you are really looking forward to, a lot of crazy stuff starts occurring? Yep...he is busy y'all. Warriors, we are so fortunate, because God has given us HIS Word and Spirit, so we can fight the enemy protecting ourselves. Yes! With His Armor, You/We Will Win!
What is the Armor of God? Well, Warriors, it is what allows us to be impenetrable to Satan's wiles. There are seven components that complete God's Armor. They include: Belt of Truth, Breastplate of Righteousness, Shoes of Peace, Shield of Faith, Helmet of Salvation, Sword of the Spirit, and the Armor of Prayer (which really isn't a piece of the armor, but Paul closes with this in the bible). Warriors, you see, God, has a plan for our lives, but so does Satan. Satan wants to kill, steal, and destroy us. So, we must be very vigilant and choose who we are going to listen to and follow. We are so blessed. God gives us specific instructions in His Word, the bible, (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Let's go y'all and get covered! Time to put on our Armor!!!!! Belt of Truth - our belt is what holds and carries our weapons. What kind of person are you? Can you be trusted? Warriors, the Belt is YOUR integrity. As the Adventurous Dynamic Duo, we always practice telling the truth in all things and at all times. It ain't easy, because life happens...to test us. For example, we're at a store, buying a case of water, and the cashier forgets to charge us for it (We got H2O for free!). No! No! No! As soon as we noticed this error, Big Sid took the case of H2O, along with the receipt, back into the store, where they (surprised by his honesty), charged us for it. Another example - Now, if you're/we're at a bank and the Teller gives us/you an extra hundred dollars... Man/Woman up! Warriors, please, be honest, and give the money (all of it) back to the bank. It pays to be honest. Honesty empowers us and brings us, God's favor. Remember, the enemy is waiting for us to lie and/or steal (yep, taking something you didn't pay for), because he knows, those types of acts open the window of darkness; thus, opening ourselves up for an attack.
Armor to protect our heart and vital organs, the Breastplate of Righteousness - it is not by our Righteousness; it is through Christ Jesus, we have been made righteous. Moreover, it is a gift from HIM! When we are born again, meaning, accepting Jesus Christ, as our Savior, God freely gives it to us. We must live with a pure heart. For God, knows our heart. You see, when you have a pure heart, you only want to see and do, good. In our everyday lives, the Adventurous Dynamic Duo, find ourselves wanting to be more like Jesus. Since our relationship with God, has grown deeper and richer, we are more conscientious of what we say, how we treat people, what we watch, and what/who we listen to. "No, Satan, you cannot get into our hearts and minds!" But, surely he tries; but we rebuke him, in the Name of Jesus, daily!
We must have a solid foot of peace to fight the battle - Shoes of Peace. Our shoes must be comfortable ("Gospel Shoes"). Father, I will go wherever you send me, and I will do whatever You say, do. Warriors, this isn't always easy; but we must make ourselves available to God. When we're operating in God's request, it is usually something out of the box for us...meaning, we are stepping into very unfamiliar territory, and it is very uncomfortable. In order for us to accomplish what God calls us to do, we must be filled with the Gospel and are able to hear HIS voice. With these shoes, we can walk ALL over Satan, as he throws stones, doubts, and discouragement our way. 🥿👠👡👢👞👟🥾
Shield of Faith - is what we tap into when temptations come our way. This faith, also, is a gift from God. He gives us, all, a measure of faith (Romans 12:3). We must have faith of a mustard seed, knowing that God, will never leave or forsake us. Warriors, be prepared, because Satan is going to come with a vengeance, while firing flaming arrows of doubt, about God and His Truth. We must remain steadfast in our belief in Jesus, and we must continue to follow Him, no matter what we see or hear. The Adventurous Dynamic Duo is keeping our eyes on the prize of the high calling! Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!
All, we must know that we are saved! Helmet of Salvation - we get this priceless helmet, when we accept Jesus Christ, as our Savior; believing (knowing) He died on the Cross for our sins, and on the third day, He rose from the grave, ascending into heaven, and is now, seated at the right hand of the Father. It is when we have this sure knowledge of our salvation, Satan is unable to deceive us, and we can & will stand tall in Christ's peace. 👩🏽🚒👨🏽🚒
Next, we have the Bible, the Sword of the Spirit - Warriors, this is our only offensive weapon in the armor of God. We are to open our mouths to speak the Word of God, over ourselves and others. By doing this, we are hitting the Devil up with the Word, letting him know, he has NO power over, God. Jesus has, already, shown us how to do it, "it is written," thus says the, Lord. This is the main reason, we need to always keep a bible at our fingertips, via phone &/or paperback. This mighty sword, destroys the enemy and protects us. 🏹🤺
Pray! Pray! Pray! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 This is the way we communicate with God and fellowship with Him. The Adventurous Dynamic Duo never, even, hits the road or leave our homes without praying. We understand that praying in the Spirit, gives us far more than what we could ask or think. Therefore, as God comes near, we just rest in HIM, because we know our Daddy has us covered. Warrior, as we adventure daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly, we shall not leave without our Armor of the Lord. You see, Warriors, it removes all fear, allowing us to, see the world, experience the world, and walk in the world. The Adventurous Dynamic Duo is BOLD, because we have girded up and now, "Geared Up." Come on and Put on your gear and get BOLD with us!
