Hello Beautiful Warriors:

Thank you for checking into the Adventurous Dynamic Duo's blog, "Dynamic Duo Inspired Journey." Our goal is to travel weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/bi-monthly and bring new adventures to you. However, in-between time, we like to work on keeping you/us all encouraged. Did you know that prayer is a powerful tool? What? Well...we are here to tell you, it is a must-do for the Adventurous Dynamic Duo. Daily, we pray together, and we pray alone. Warriors, prayer is our ability to talk directly to God and to listen to God as He tell us how to live our lives. Our prayers help us to see the possible and impossible, so that we can successfully navigate this life's journey. To not pray, is like walking with our eyes closed - even the 12 disciples in the Bible asked, Jesus to teach them how to pray!!!! This resulted in what is known as the "Lord’s Prayer", a prayer directly offered by Jesus to God.

Why is it, so many of us, only pull prayer out when we have emergencies? Often, we let it sit in the raggedy tool shed of our life - unused, collecting dust, and spider webs. Yes, we know prayer takes, time, faith, and even work. But, we are here to tell you, it is worth every bit of your effort. Prayer truly works! Everywhere we turn in the scriptures, we see prayer. Paul often put prayers right in the middle of his letters. And as we know, he wrote the most books in the New Testament. As we read deeper into the scriptures, we find Paul constantly talking about “power.” He was talking about the power of God and the Holy Spirit! This is the power we are talking about - God doing small and great things and changing lives in ways, we cannot. How do we tap into that power? Prayer. King Hezekiah was on his deathbed and he prayed for God to give him 15 more years to accomplish the Lord’s work, and God gave it to him. Nehemiah prays when he hears Jerusalem is in ruins. King David is constantly praying. Jesus got away from the crowds to meet with the Father. Yes that's right.....to pray.

Prayer is simply just talking to God through, Jesus the Christ. So often, we hear people asking, "How should I pray?" We like to use the acronym, PRAY. It is really easy to remember and is a great guide. It's basically following the layout of the "Lord's Prayer." Speaking from your heart...keep this in mind, as you pray:

P - Start your prayer off by Praising God - for who He is, for what He has done, and for what He is going to do.

R - Repent, asking God to forgive you for all sins. We are imperfect people, and we have been made righteous through the blood of Jesus.

A - Ask God, to guide you, lead you, change you, show you, and open doors for you, (renew, restore, refresh and revive).

Y - Yield. Take time to be quiet and still, so you can hear from God. You may hear from Him right away or it maybe some time, down life's road. But, make sure to be obedient and do what He request of you. The Adventurous Dynamic Duo have truly found that He never fails us or leave us.

Always close your prayer, "In the Name of Jesus." The Bible says, we can only go through Jesus, to talk to the Father. How amazing it is to, now, have direct access to our Savior, our Father, Our God!

Okay Warriors, we want you to make it a great day! Go now and start or continue to have an impactful prayer life. We can only live our lives, intentionally, through having a relationship with God, and prayer is one of the greatest tools - we can use. Just try God! He is the answer......

We just like to drop little "nuggets" to help to enhance your life, so "Thank You" for stopping in to visit with us. Remember to sign in with your email address and the code ZEJFNW.

We love you!!!!!!!

Your Adventurous Dynamic Duo
