Hello Warriors:
The Adventurous Dynamic Duo is so excited to have you back with us this week. “Dynamic Duo Inspired Journey,” inspiration is what we are all about.
As you can see, this week we are calling you all Warriors. And for now on, we will always address you, as so. Why? First, and foremost, we have prayed about it, so now we’re acting in obedience.
Also, God says in HIS word, that we are more than conquerors, and we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Yes, we are all winners! Therefore, let’s approach our bucket lists, our goals, and our dreams, with the authority God has given us. WE Are All Warriors!
This year 2019, let us be intentional, focused and venture OUT of our comfort zone. Success in anything, includes us, overcoming our fears, let's stop procrastinating and start walking with a boldness. The Bible tells us, God didn’t give us a spirit of fear. So, step out this Year! Go somewhere you have never gone (on a Fantastic trip). Do an activity you have never done before (Sky dive, zip-line, a helicopter ride, etc???). Set some goals for yourself that you know, will really challenge and push you (school, jog, walk, marathon, write a book, etc.???). This is your time! This is your season!
"This year, I want to venture out, venture forward, and venture into the unknown. I want to make decisions by asking myself, “Am I going to see and/or experience something new by doing this? Will it scare me or push me outside my comfort zone? Will I be able to look back and feel like I learned something or grew in some way? Will it be fun, meaningful and worthwhile?” This excerpt was taken from one of Maria Shriver's recent articles published in her weekly newsletter called Sunday Paper. Sidney and Jackie, we love Maria’s article - it is amazing and sooooo....powerful. We are working on going to another level with our adventures this year, as well.
Here's an example and life experience, we would like to share. Yep, we are about to make a personal public announcement. Sidney and Jackie, we both, had a fear of heights. Yes, it was true...However, last year in October, on a Saturday, we took a trip to the Tennessee Mountains, to go... zip-lining!!!!!!
It was so funny 😂🤣😜 because prior to going to Zip-lining, this zip-lining joint told us if you exceed a certain amount of weight you can’t participate. Well, Sidney is really tall at 6’5” and his weight was close to the limit, so Jackie’s baby was dieting all week. He was on the scale every morning. Lol. Needless to say, we were both able to ride it. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
It was so much fun and worthwhile the trip' We felt free, gliding and floating across the cable in the fresh mountain air; way up towards the big beautiful blue sky. This was what we both called, serenity. Nothing like looking at God's creation and enjoying nature. The beautiful towering trees with their leaves turning into the seasonal Fall colors were breathtaking to experience. Imagine seeing leaves, some orange, some plum, some brown, some golden, some red, some yellow and even some still green. Only God can produce this kind of greatness. We were free indeed!
There was this one woman, likely a senior citizen, who appeared to be very fearful of zip-lining, but by Jackie’s boldness, who was the second person to ride to each of the 7 stations, AND the first woman to go with our group each time, this young-at-heart woman became encouraged. She was hilarious because she would scream and yell the entire ride to each station. We could hear her coming prior to seeing her, but she did it. We were all a group of over-comers; what an experience to remember. Fear was just stripped off of the Adventurous Dynamic Duo, Adventure by adventure, trip by trip, and all of the glory belongs to You, Lord, Jesus!
Warriors, we, the Adventurous Dynamic Duo, are slowly, but surely, conquering our fear, because since zip-lining, we have now added sky diving on our bucket list and prior to zip-lining, we said we would not sky dive. Warriors, what do you think of that (sky diving???)? Say What?????? We aren’t sure when we will go, but we are hopeful, it will be this year. We’ll let you know all about it, after we do it. Lol. We are expecting it will be an amazing time and another memorable moment.
The book “More of You God,” states, on page 8, “My mind and heart, are open to You, Father; I’m touched, delivered, and set free. It is all about You, Lord, Jesus, filling my life up with...More of You God.”
Ok, Warriors, as you keep your mind on Jesus, get ready...get set...go! Step-up, step-out, into your life of adventures. Get out of the house! Move around a little bit! Live your life to the fullest. Get going on a trip. Get another degree. Do something! No more fear! No more fear! No more fear!
